A$AP Rocky Drops ‘Shroom Clouds,’ First Taste of “Don’t Be Dumb (Disc 2)”

A$AP Rocky put out a new single Friday. “Shroom Clouds,” with reggie and Jeremih on the credits, arrived on streaming services through A$AP Worldwide and RCA Records.

Fans have been waiting on it for years. The song circulated as “Mushroom Clouds” after Rocky played it live in 2021 and 2022, but it never got an official release. The title is trimmed. The anticipation is not new.

Hector Delgado handled production. Rocky first previewed the track at an event in 2021, then performed it during his Amazon Music live show in December 2022.

The single leads “Don’t Be Dumb (Disc 2),” a second disc for Rocky’s Billboard 200 No. 1 album. He told Complex the full project follows right after the single, though no release date is set yet. He said the disc gathers songs made by his alter egos across the eight years between 2018’s “Testing” and “Don’t Be Dumb,” with revised verses and a couple of tracks nobody has heard.

Expected on the new disc: “Babushka Boi,” “Trunks,” “Sundress,” “Grim Freestyle” and “Hijack.”

“Don’t Be Dumb” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in January. It was Rocky’s first studio album in eight years.

Rocky just closed the sold-out European and UK leg of the Don’t Be Dumb world tour. During the Paris stop, he staged his SS27 fashion show, “Anti War Global Economics,” before a crowd of more than 6,000 — billed as the most-attended fashion show on record — then played a sold-out concert the same day.

Next up is Australia and New Zealand, where he returns in December for the first time in eight years: Melbourne, Sydney, Auckland, Brisbane and Perth.
